Are you interested in contracting? My client based in the Centurion area is seeking a Business Analyst to join there well established organisation for a 12 month fixed term contract.
Desired Education...
- A relevant university degree or national diploma
- Minimum 5 years track record of successful and demonstrated skills in more than one similar / large IT systems development project projects in the following skills areas:
- Business Analysis
- Business Process Reengineering
- Dataflow modeling of the practices, methods and techniques of systems analysis and design, as well as data and process modeling to lead systems development work Of the standards, practices, techniques and relevant software tools of application development to lead application design and review work
- Of the principles and techniques of business analysis and process improvement. Recommend and implement improved methods.
- Experience as a team member or lead on Business Intelligence projects preferred, including experience developing Use Cases, experience developing test scripts, and experience with performance & metrics reporting systems
- Proficiency in SQL, OLAP development, enterprise reporting systems (e.g., Business Objects or Crystal Reports), MS Office applications, including Project and Visio
- Experience and knowledge of Data Warehousing initiatives, Decision Support Systems, and functional data areas in a higher education environment.
- Interpersonal, Interviewing, Report Writing and computer skills with the Microsoft suite of programmes.
Job Specification...
- Analyse and design business processes and ensure that requirements are fully documented in User Requirements Specifications (URS) and fully modeled in the modeling tools.
- Work with the business architect/lead business analyst and other planners to assess current capabilities and identify high-level requirements.
- Perform as a member of the business analysis team to ensure that cross over requirements are sufficiently outlined and catered for in the overall solution.
- Identify and define application requirements.
- Work with the project manager, architects, and other team members to define quality of service and performance goals for the application.
- Participate in transitioning the requirements to the designers, and ensure a clear and complete understanding of the requirements.
- Assist in translating requirements into test conditions and expected results for product, performance, and user acceptance testing.
- Participate in quality management reviews, in particular reviews of the designs, prototypes and other requirements work products to ensure they fulfill the requirements.
- Serve as a liaison to the business community. Participate in a user and task analysis to maintain the business community's perspective.
Serve as a resource for the change management specialists as they evaluate training and performance support needs and design the training and performance support products. - Ability to analyze and design business processes
- Ability to develop application requirements based on input gathered from a variety of sources including analysis results and feedback from the user community
- Ability to develop test conditions and expected results based on the application requirements.
