Our client is a main competitor in the Financial Industry. They are currently seeking the services of 2 Project managers with 3-5 and 6-8 years experience.
Desired Education...
The following qualifications and experience are required:
- A relevant bachelor’s degree
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of proven history of successful project management experience, preferably within the financial industry
- Previous experience in managing intermediate to large size projects
- Excellent proficiency in MS Office Tools including Visio
- Excellent proficiency in MS Project 2003/2007or other project management software packages
- Sound understanding of Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK)
- Prince 2 certification would be an advantage
- Basic understanding of infrastructure and software development project lifecycles

- Translate project requirements into project objectives and tasks
- Responsible for planning the project
- Maintain the project budget
- Continuously monitor progress
- Anticipate and catch deviations from a plan
- Identify, log, analyse and manage potential and actual issues and risks
- Identify the impact of change management and/or risk and issue management
- Interface with all areas affected by the project
- Articulate and negotiate consensus on the end goal of the project
- Define acceptance criteria for project deliverables
- Courteous and polite in written and oral communication
- Report project status via company defined methods
- Identify the need for resources, and take on team management responsibilities
- Work with team members/team leaders on various estimation and planning tasks
- Manage and co-ordinate work that is done by third party contractors
- Create and use Gantt charts, spreadsheets or other appropriate tools to manage people and tasks
- Manage, lead and direct project team
- Understanding of relevant methodologies, processes and standards
- Manage and commit to quality delivery
- Develop relevant documentation
- Ensure effective use of the document repository
